Commerce Resources Corp. (TSXv: CCE) (FSE: D7H) (“Commerce”) announces that it has, in anticipation of the Blue River Tantalum-Niobium Project entering the regulatory permitting process to become a producing mine in British Columbia, retained the services of Gartner Lee Ltd. As contracted by Commerce, Gartner Lee has initiated preliminary baseline data compilation and scoping for the approvals required for the project.
Under the supervision of Charlotte Mougeot (Calgary, AB), the environmental team will work closely with the geological and engineering team to provide an integrated baseline program utilizing public sources of information and site-specific field programs. This follows a recent property inspection by Commerce’s technical team.
Environmental field programs are expected to start in late August and will include water sampling, fisheries work and preliminary soil and vegetation surveys. This work will coincide with the trenching and drilling scheduled in the ongoing work program.
Technical advisor Charles Pitcher has selected Gartner Lee based on previous experience and the completion of successful past projects. Charles Pitcher states, “I have worked with Gartner Lee in the past, and they have always been very professional, efficient and thorough in their execution of the environmental assessment process.”
Mr. Pitcher’s significant experience in project development in British Columbia will be instrumental in bringing a practical approach to developing the Blue River Tantalum-Niobium Project to maximize the existing opportunity to the benefit of shareholders.
