Ross Carroll

President and CEO

Ross has decades of experience overseeing finance, M&A and strategy, operations, and major projects across the natural resources sector. Mr. Carroll has a proven track record of leadership and strategic oversight. His international experience spans Australia, the USA, Africa, Latin America, and Asia, having worked with leading companies such as BHP, Woodside Energy, Macmahon Holdings, and MMG Limited.

Most recently, during his time as Chief Financial Officer of MMG, he has overseen its growth into a significant international base metals producer, including the delivery of the Dugald River Project in Australia, the recent acquisition of the US1.875 billion Khoemacau Copper Mine in Botswana, and numerous debt refinancings and equity raises.

Prior to MMG, Mr. Carroll was CEO of Macmahon, a prominent and well-regarded Australian mining contractor.

Mr. Carroll holds a Bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Melbourne and is a Certified Public Accountant with the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and previously served on the Executive Committee of the Western Australian Chamber of Mines.

Christopher Grove

Director of Corporate Development

Chris Grove is an experienced resource sector professional with over 19 years in the business. He has been a Director of several other junior mineral explorers, and he has assisted in raising over $100M for Commerce Resources since 2004. 

He has been the President & CEO of Commerce Resources Corp. from 2014 – 2024.

Jody Dahrouge, P.Geol

Director

Jody Dahrouge has been instrumental in the guidance of the company’s exploration and development programs. Mr. Dahrouge is a graduate of the University of Alberta with a Bachelors Degree in Science (Geology).

Since 1998, he has been the President of Dahrouge Geological Consulting Ltd. His experience, insight and energy combine to provide Commerce with a real resource in the acquisition and management of resource projects.

Ian Graham, B.Sc. (Hons)

Director

Ian Graham is an accomplished mining professional with over 20 years of experience in the development and exploration of mineral deposits, mostly gained with the major mining companies Rio Tinto and Anglo American.

Formerly Chief Geologist with the Project Generation Group at Rio Tinto, Mr. Graham has been involved with evaluation and pre-development work on several projects in Canada and abroad including the Diavik Diamond Mine (Northwest Territories, Canada), Resolution Copper (Arizona, USA), Eagle Nickel (Michigan, USA), Lakeview Nickel (Minnesota, USA) and Bunder Diamonds (India). Prior to his work with Rio Tinto, Ian held exploration geologist roles with Anglo American. Since leaving the majors in 2009 Ian has worked with junior companies exploring the Americas and that have made discoveries in potash (now in production), base metals (MRE/PEA), rare earths (MRE/PEA), lithium (MRE) and graphite (MRE).

Ian graduated from the University of Natal (now Kwa-Zulu Natal) in Durban, South Africa with a B.Sc. in Geology and Applied Geology (1984) and B.Sc. (Hons) in Geology (1985).

Adam Ritchie

Director

Mr Ritchie has over 20 years’ experience in the resources industry and has been heavily focused on project delivery in senior positions for many of Australia’s best performing companies in the mining and minerals sector including Pilbara Minerals, FMG, Rio Tinto and BHP.

Mr Ritchie is known for delivering complex projects with a particular focus on high-value mineral processing assets and is recognised for his contributions to major Australian Lithium and Iron Ore projects, delivering across all project stages.

He is the Managing Director of Loyal Lithium (ASX:LLI) an ASX listed North American focused battery minerals company with hard rock lithium assets in Quebec, Canada. He holds a Bachelor in Engineer and a Master Degree in Utility Engineering, is committed to a sustainable future and harbors a long term-personal passion for technology and innovation.

Jeremy Robinson

Director

Jeremy Robinson is an experienced resources executive with 20 years of experience in the industry ranging from Business Development to Managing Director positions, specifically focusing on critical minerals including rare earths.

He is the principal and founder of Churchill Strategic Investments Group which has financed multiple junior explorers and developers across the ASX and TSX.

Patrik Schmidt

VP Exploration

Patrik Schmidt is a registered Professional Geologist (Québec and Ontario) and holds a Master’s Degree in Science (Geology) from the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen in Germany. 

He gained his first industry experience as a student on the Eldor carbonatite project in 2008. As a Geologist and Project Manager he has worked for over 11 years in mineral exploration focusing on critical elements such as rare earth elements (REEs), niobium, tantalum, and lithium

Jody Bellefleur

CFO

Jody Bellefleur is responsible for all aspects of regulatory financial reporting including the preparation of quarterly financial statements, management discussion and analysis reports, the coordination of annual audits, and government tax and regulatory reporting. Ms. Bellefleur is a CPA,CGA with over 20 years’ experience as a corporate accountant. Early in her career, she was the Controller of a private manufacturing company, where she learned valuable skills necessary to run a successful business.

Tariq Safi

Corporate Communications Specialist

Tariq Safi, an MBA graduate from the University of Canada West, possesses experience in Investor Relations and Capital Raising.

Tariq is instrumental in developing and implementing communication strategies that align with corporate objectives, ensuring consistent and effective messaging across all platforms. His expertise in stakeholder engagement and his strategic approach to communications make him a valuable asset in maintaining and enhancing Commerce Resources’ reputation in the competitive market.
